This is what energy security looks like
Rising energy costs will make it much more expensive to heat U.S. homes this winter. But like the all electric zero energy homes we build with heat pumps and powered by renewable energy, there is an obvious route to energy security. The winter fuels outlook by the U.S. Energy Information Administration emphasizes rising costs for both fossil-fueled and electric heating. But those costs will actually be quite a bit lower for homes that use more efficient electric heat pumps, which will soon be eligible for thousands of dollars in tax credits and federal incentives under the Inflation Reduction Act. And for our homes it will now and always be
zero.

Inflation Reduction Act Opportunities
Wolfworks envisions a future in which homes rely on renewably generated electric energy for all occupant uses, including transportation (EV’s), and integrating that system with a backup strategy that relies on battery storage. Built different. Built Better. It's the way we design and build. The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) is going to accelerate that transition in many practical ways. Buckle up!

Our inspirational friend and client has a new book
A dozen years ago we created a new kitchen and remodeled Terry Walters home for barefoot comfort (that's her pantry in the background). This endorsement pretty much sums up Terry and her new book.
“Terry Walters offer us the kind of connection to life we all seem to be craving now and she does it in a way that keeps us mindful of how the practice of cooking and living a life filled with clean foods not only nourishes ourselves and our families, but also our communities and our planet. But Nourish is far more than the sum of its healthy, seasonal recipes that absolutely inspire you to cook, ferment, share and feed others with—it is a lifestyle too. It is a
Northstar for life and one that, thanks to Terry, is filled with light and grace and kindness. All of which we need so much more of today, and always will.”
Tracey Ryder, Co-Founder & CEO, Edible Communities

Picture This! A handy visualizer from Benjamin Moore
Imagining what a room or home exterior would look like in a particular color can be challenging. Benjamin Moore's easy to use mobile app allows you to try out colors virtually using a photo or live camera view. It helps you get a feel for different color pallettes. From there its smart to order a peel and stick or half pint sample and view it under different lighting conditions (day and night). Still hard to decide? If you're working with us we'll help guide that decision.
