Wolfworks becomes a Worker Co-op

As of January 1 Wolfworks has officially become a worker co-op. But what does that mean, exactly? At Wolfworks, we believe that becoming a worker co-op is a natural next step for our company. We’ve always valued our employees and their contributions, and we believe that giving them a greater stake in the business will allow us to build a stronger, more collaborative, and enduring company. We were inspired by other companies like ours who we’ve seen embrace shared ownership and thrive. Under our new structure, Jamie, Janet, and Kyle are the initial owners of Wolfworks, with more to come.

We've updated our Website: Take a Look

We've spent the past few months working on an update to our website to simplify, clarify, and assure it is as clear on a phone or tablet as it is on a laptop or desktop screen. We're featuring some great projects, both new homes and remodels, as well as spotlighting craft and the people we count on to achieve it. Our mission is front and center. Our "Library" has special "Rooms" for folks like to dig deeper and read and discover more.

The Joy of Building

Chris, Jamie, Ben, and Spencer on site

Nearly everything I know about woodworking I learned from working alongside Paul Leger in the late 70's. One look at his family tree and you’ll see that woodworking runs deep. One after another from the mid 1700s: shipbuilder, cabinetmaker, carpenter, cabinetmaker. That’s when I got to know his kids Chris, Chuck, and Ben. Their joy in building lives on in our projects.

We're not cooking with gas

There's been a lot of heavy breathing going on related to a report on the health risks related to gas stoves. The short of it is: They're real! Induction ranges are the desirable alternative to those risks and are features of all the homes we build. Here's some useful perspective.

Great Spaces Every Home Deserves: Suite Retreats

As we work with people to make their good homes better we’ve come to recognize five recurring themes in that work. We call them “Great Spaces.” In so many homes some or all of these spaces just aren’t working. We’re here to remedy that. One of these is your "Suite Retreat" - a sanctuary that accommodates a cozy bedroom, an ample closet and dressing space, and a bathroom you’re happy to spend time in. A space to unwind, connect, and renew
