Raising the Roof

Attic renovations come with their unique set of challenges, including ensuring proper headroom, maintaining the right roof pitch, minimizing disruptions to the lower levels, and creating a comfortable living space. To add to the complexity, local zoning regulations imposed limitations on the square footage within the attic that could exceed a ceiling height of 7′-0″. Our clients were eager to see their vision come to life, and with their collaboration, we embarked on this attic transformation.

How Does Your Home FIt?

Why "Homes that Fit?"

With fewer people living in increasingly more space and consuming more energy per person we should be thinking carefully about the amount of space we really need. Because we devote considerable time, attention, and resources to a home’s creation, and from there to its ongoing operation and care, we need to be asking, “What 'jobs' do we need our homes to do?” We need to ask, “How can it do those jobs and get more living using less space?” This is not a scarcity mentality. A home that fits gets the abundance side right: “More” living. “Less” space.

Our long relationship with Miner Lumber

One of the most important relationships builders and designers have is with the people who provide the products we build with. Our longest and most reliable relationship has been with Miner Lumber – Miner’s for short. Miner’s is a fourth generation family business persisting through the ups and downs of the construction industry as they sustained a family culture that attracted and kept the experienced team we’ve been fortunate to work with for over forty years.

Becoming Wolfworks: The Party

About 50 people came out to celebrate Jamie's legacy as Wolfworks begins its next chapter without him. They were employees, trade partners, clients, and friends; folks from way back at the beginning to today. Between the reconnecting and reminiscing Jamie told the story of "Becoming Wolfworks: Then, Now, & Next."

A Design Seat to fill

We're still on the search for an Architect to round out the Wolfworks Design Team. This is a great opportunity for a mission aligned architect with a passion for residential design to work alongside Kyle, Janet, and Connor to create "Homes that Fit." It's also an opportunity to become a member of our worker coop.
